In School Curriculum

We offer an in-school curriculum where we go into your middle or high school and teach an hour-long lesson over a curriculum titled Overcoming Obstacles. Overcoming Obstacles is a research-based K-12 curriculum that provides tools to teach students life skills. There are hundreds of activity-based lessons covering more than 30 skills where students learn how to communicate effectively. They learn how to make informed decisions, set and achieve goals, resolve conflicts, solve problems, respect one another, and more. We would love to come into your schools and teach this curriculum, have your school contact us at lcdaclub@latinoagencyokc.org for more information!

We also have a paired program for high school students titled Passport to Success. Passport to Success was developed by the International Youth Foundation and is a program that focuses on soft skills; social-emotional skills, essential skills, or non-cognitive skills, which they call life skills that encompass the way self-confidence, responsibility, teamwork, and communication are transferred into a day, career, and lifetime. We are currently providing volunteer hours for high school students who show proof of completion!
